Bojonegoro, October 17, 2024 — The talk show titled “The Role and Function of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise,” held at the STIE Cendekia Hall, was successfully conducted with great enthusiasm. The event featured the main speaker, Iwan Hermawan, S.H., L.L.M., as the Head of the Bojonegoro Customs and Excise Office, and was moderated by an STIE Cendekia student, Bahrudin.
The activity, which took place throughout the morning, was attended by students, lecturers, and the general public who were eager to gain insights into the duties and roles of Customs and Excise. In his presentation, Iwan Hermawan explained the strategic functions of Customs and Excise in safeguarding the country's economic sovereignty, ranging from monitoring the import-export of goods, collecting duties and excise, to efforts in protecting national industries and preventing the circulation of illegal goods.
