STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro once again held an international-level academic activity through an International Seminar themed “Impactful University: Driving Sustainable Economic Development Through Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Community Empowerment”. This activity is a tangible manifestation of the campus's commitment to strengthening the contribution of higher education to sustainable economic development through innovation, entrepreneurship development, and community empowerment.
The seminar featured international speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Salamah Maamor from Universiti Utara Malaysia and Dr. Zaki Ahmad from India. Both speakers shared their experiences and views on the importance of the role of higher education institutions in creating a positive impact on society and the economic world through global collaboration and sustainable innovation.
The event was opened directly by the Chair of STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro, Dr. Nurul Mazidah, S.E., M.S.A., Ak. In her remarks, she stated that higher education institutions are currently required to be able to adapt to the changing times and provide real benefits to the wider community.
She also emphasized that the campus should not only be a place for the teaching and learning process, but must also be able to become a center for the birth of innovation, research, and collaboration that supports the improvement of community welfare and economic growth.
In the material session, Prof. Dr. Salamah Maamor explained the importance of synergy between educational institutions, the government, the industrial world, and the community in building a sustainable economic ecosystem. Meanwhile, Dr. Zaki Ahmad emphasized the importance of developing an entrepreneurial spirit and community empowerment as a strategy to face global economic challenges in the digital era.
This international seminar was attended by lecturers, students, academics, and participants from various organizations and educational institutions. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident from the active discussions and question-and-answer sessions throughout the event.
Through organizing this seminar, STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro hopes to continue expanding its international network while improving the quality of higher education oriented towards innovation and community service. This seminar is also one of the campus's strategic steps in producing an excellent generation that is ready to face global challenges and contribute to sustainable economic development.
