BOJONEGORO — The Cendekia Bojonegoro School of Economics (STIEKIA) has strengthened its commitment to expanding access to higher education by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Koperasi Kareb Bojonegoro on Thursday (July 17). This agreement marks the launch of the Employee Study Program “Work While Studying,” specifically designed for employees and cooperative members.
The signing of this partnership took place at the Letjend Soedirman Stadium in Bojonegoro and was witnessed directly by the Governor of East Java, Dr. (H.C.) Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.Si, during the 78th East Java Cooperative Day commemoration.
The MoU was signed by the Chair of STIEKIA, Mrs. Nurul Mazidah, SE., MSA., Ak, and the Director of Koperasi Kareb Bojonegoro, Dr. H. Sriyadi Poernomo, SE., MM. Through this program, STIEKIA provides special classes within the Koperasi Kareb environment, allowing participants to continue working while attending lectures efficiently.
The Chair of STIEKIA, Mrs. Nurul Mazidah, stated that this program is part of the campus's mission to produce graduates who are not only academically competent but also competitive in the workforce. "We are preparing a curriculum and learning methods that are flexible, practice-based, and adaptive to the needs of workers," she explained.
The Director of Koperasi Kareb, Dr. H. Sriyadi Poernomo, expressed that this partnership is a strategic step in supporting the improvement of the quality of cooperative human resources. "We believe that education is the key to strengthening the capacity of cooperative members in the long term," he said.
In her remarks, Governor Khofifah appreciated this initiative as a tangible form of synergy between the education sector and the cooperative sector. She hopes that partnerships like this can serve as a model for replication in other regions.
With the presence of the “Work While Studying” program, STIEKIA hopes to continue contributing to the development of superior and competitive human resources in the Bojonegoro region and its surroundings.
