STIEKIA Lecturer Gives Public Lecture on Visual Communication Design and Film Production at SMK Pemuda Taruna Bojonegoro

STIEKIA once again demonstrated its commitment to carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through Community Service (PkM) activities. This time, STIEKIA organized a Public Lecture on the Development of Visual Communication Design (DKV) and Film Production Expertise Concentrations for students of SMK Pemuda Taruna Bojonegoro on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

The activity, which was attended by 50 students from the Visual Communication Design (DKV) class and the Film Production class, is an implementation of the Cooperation Agreement that has been established between STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro and SMK Pemuda Taruna Bojonegoro. Through this synergy, STIEKIA presented lecturers as academic practitioners to share knowledge, experience, and insights relevant to the needs of the current creative industry.

The public lecture featured two speakers, namely Hermawan Budi Prasetyo, S.E., M.S.A. and Ahmad Sholihudin.

In the first session, Hermawan Budi Prasetyo presented material themed "Becoming a YouTuber". This material discussed professional opportunities as a digital content creator, strategies for building personal branding, techniques for producing engaging content, and how to develop a YouTube channel as a medium for creation as well as a business opportunity in the digital era.

Furthermore, Ahmad Sholihudin presented material on "Advanced Level Film Making Techniques". In his presentation, participants gained an understanding of cinematography techniques, more professional shooting, storyline arrangement, video editing processes, and various production techniques that can improve the quality of film works.

The enthusiasm of the participants was evident throughout the activity. The students actively discussed, asked questions, and shared experiences regarding the process of creating digital content and film production. This interaction is proof of the high interest of the younger generation in the continuously growing creative industry.

The Principal of SMK Pemuda Taruna Bojonegoro, Imam Muhdi, S.E., M.M., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the activity.

"We would like to thank STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro for continuing to provide real contributions to improving our students' competence. The material presented is very relevant to the development of the creative industry and the needs of the current world of work. We hope that this cooperation will continue so that students gain broader learning experiences, improve their skills, and have the provisions to become entrepreneurs or pursue careers in the creative field," said Imam Muhdi.

Through this community service activity, STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro reaffirms its role as a higher education institution that provides a real impact on society through collaboration with vocational high schools. This activity is expected to strengthen student competence, foster a spirit of creation, and create graduates who are adaptive, creative, and ready to face the challenges of the creative industry in the digital era
