STIEKIA Students Learn Entrepreneurship Based on Local Potential Through a Visit to Kampoeng Drenges Tourism, Bojonegoro

Bojonegoro, June 1, 2026 – In order to implement experiential learning, students of STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro (STIEKIA) conducted an Entrepreneurship Visit to Kampoeng Drenges Tourism (WKD), Drenges Village, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency. This activity is part of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) for the Entrepreneurship course.

This visit aims to provide students with direct learning experience regarding the business development process, community-based tourism destination management, and the utilization of local potential as sustainable business opportunities. Through field activities, students not only gain theoretical understanding but can also see firsthand how a business is initiated, managed, and developed to provide economic value to the surrounding community.

Kampoeng Drenges Tourism (WKD) is one of the educational tourism destinations in Bojonegoro Regency that develops a village potential-based tourism concept. In addition to offering various educational rides, WKD is also known for its oyster mushroom processed products, such as mushroom satay and various other processed items, which serve as a concrete example of local resource-based business development.

During the activity, students had the opportunity to discuss directly with the management about the journey of building the business, marketing strategies, product innovation, and the challenges faced in maintaining business sustainability amidst competition. This interaction is expected to foster an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, critical thinking skills, and the courage of students to create business opportunities in the future.

Through this activity, STIEKIA continues to be committed to presenting a learning process that is relevant to the needs of the business and industrial world. Learning does not only take place in the classroom, but also through direct experience in the field so that students have broader insights, practical skills, and the spirit to become innovative young entrepreneurs capable of developing regional potential.

It is hoped that this Entrepreneurship Visit activity will be a valuable provision for students in developing creative, adaptive, and competitive business ideas, while simultaneously contributing to local potential-based economic development in Bojonegoro Regency.
