STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro lecturers attended the KRA XIII International Conference at Petra Christian University, Surabaya
SURABAYA — STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro's commitment to strengthening its research culture and scientific publication has once again yielded achievements. Three papers by the STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro research team successfully qualified for the KRA XIII International Conference held on September 1, 2026, at Petra Christian University, Surabaya.
This achievement is an important part of STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro's journey to continuously enhance its academic presence through research relevant to developments in the business, accounting, finance, taxation, auditing, corporate governance, and technological transformation sectors.
In this event, STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro was represented by Dr. Nurul Mazidah, SE., MSA., Ak, Hafidza Nashúl Amrina, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ika Puspitasari, SE., M.Ak, and Suci Rahayu, S.Si., M.Ak.
The participation of these lecturers is not merely a form of involvement in an international academic forum, but also a momentum to expand scientific networks, exchange ideas with academics and researchers from various institutions, and open up broader research collaboration opportunities.
Three Papers, Three Strategic Issues
The three papers that qualified for KRA XIII address strategic and current issues closely related to the development of the business world and the accounting profession.
1. Tax Avoidance and Corporate Financial Condition
The paper titled:
“THE IMPACT OF FIRM SIZE; FINANCIAL DISTRESS; AND LEVERAGE ON TAX AVOIDANCE IN FINANCIAL SECTOR COMPANIES LISTED ON THE INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE (IDX) FOR THE PERIOD 2022–2024”
is the work of the team Yeti Ridawati, Nurul Mazidah, and Dina Alafi Hidayatin.
This research examines the influence of firm size, financial distress, and leverage on tax avoidance in financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022–2024 period.
This topic is relevant amidst increasing attention to tax governance and corporate transparency, especially in the financial sector, which has complex business characteristics and regulations.
2. Corporate Governance and Banking Financial Performance
The second paper titled:
“THE INFLUENCE OF THE NUMBER OF INDEPENDENT COMMISSIONERS; AUDIT COMMITTEE AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE (ROA) IN BANKING SECTOR COMPANIES LISTED ON THE IDX FOR THE PERIOD 2019–2023”
was written by Puji Dwi Rindiani, Abdul Azis Safii, and Latifah Anom.
This research highlights the role of corporate governance mechanisms through the presence of independent commissioners, audit committees, and boards of directors on the financial performance of banking sector companies.
The use of Return on Assets (ROA) as a performance indicator provides an overview of the company's ability to manage assets to generate profit.
3. Blockchain and Big Data for Fraud Prevention
Meanwhile, the third paper titled:
“ANALYSIS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BLOCKCHAIN AND BIG DATA ANALYTICS IN FRAUD PREVENTION IN AUDITING”
is the work of Eny Fariyanti, Nurul Mazidah, and Dina Alafi Hidayatin.
This research addresses one of the increasingly important issues in the development of the auditing profession, namely the utilization of digital technology to strengthen fraud prevention systems.
Blockchain and big data analytics are part of a technological transformation that has the potential to support the audit process to be more effective, transparent, and capable of identifying indications of fraud earlier.
