STIEKIA Expert Lecture Presents President Director of BMT NU Ngasem Group Cooperative Holding, Discusses Strengthening the Sharia Financial Ecosystem

Bojonegoro, July 9, 2026 – STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro (STIEKIA) once again demonstrated its commitment to providing practice-based learning by organizing an Expert Lecture featuring experienced practitioners in the field of sharia finance. The event, which took place on Thursday (9/7/2026) at the STIEKIA Hall, featured H. Moh. Wahyudi, President Director of the BMT NU Ngasem Group Cooperative Holding, as the main speaker.

Carrying the theme "Strengthening the Sharia Financial Ecosystem Through BMT Holding: Management Strategy, Governance, and Sharia Accounting Implementation," this activity was enthusiastically attended by lecturers, students of the Management and Accounting Study Programs, and the STIEKIA academic community.

In his presentation, H. Moh. Wahyudi explained the strategy for building a strong sharia financial ecosystem through the cooperative holding concept. He outlined the importance of professional, accountable organizational governance based on sharia values so that cooperatives can develop sustainably and provide broad benefits to the community.

In addition to discussing governance aspects, the speaker also explained the implementation of sharia accounting in the management of sharia microfinance institutions. The material presented provided a real picture of the application of sharia principles in cooperative operations, ranging from financial recording systems and fund management transparency to business development strategies that are adaptive to changing times.

Through the long experience of the BMT NU Ngasem Group in building a healthy and growing cooperative network, participants gained insights into the importance of leadership, innovation, collaboration, and good governance as the main foundations for creating resilient sharia financial institutions.

The Head of STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro stated that the Expert Lecture activity is part of the campus's efforts to enrich students' insights through direct learning from practitioners. Thus, students not only gain theory in the classroom but also understand real implementation in the world of work and industry.

Through this activity, STIEKIA hopes that students will be better prepared to face the challenges of the professional world, especially in the fields of management, accounting, and sharia finance. The Expert Lecture activity concluded with an interactive discussion session between the speaker and the participants, which was dynamic. Various questions regarding cooperative development strategies, organizational governance, and sharia accounting implementation were proof of the students' high enthusiasm for understanding best practices in managing sharia financial institutions.
