HANOI, VIETNAM — The Chair of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Cendekia Bojonegoro (STIEKIA), Dr. Nurul Mazidah, SE., MSA., Ak., attended The 3rd International Sandbox Conference 2026 held in Hanoi, Vietnam, on September 22, 2026.
The international conference carried the theme “Innovation-Driven Business, Accounting & Finance Amid Uncertainty,” which discussed innovations in the fields of business, accounting, and finance amidst various global dynamics and uncertainties.
This activity was part of a series of FAME Indonesia visits to Vietnam National University (VNU) Hanoi, bringing a delegation representing 24 higher education institutions in Indonesia. The visit served as a momentum to strengthen higher education networks, research, publications, community service, academic mobility, and institutional partnerships between Indonesia and Vietnam.
STIEKIA Strengthens International Partnership with VNU Hanoi
One of the strategic agendas in the series of activities was the strengthening of cooperation between Vietnam National University (VNU) Hanoi and a number of higher education institutions in Indonesia.
In this momentum, STIEKIA became one of the higher education institutions to establish cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VNU Hanoi.
This cooperation is an important step for STIEKIA in expanding its international network while opening up broader academic collaboration opportunities for lecturers and students.
The scope of cooperation encouraged through the partnership includes student and staff mobility, joint research, joint publication, community service, seminars, academic activities, and institutional partnership development.
For STIEKIA, this international cooperation is in line with the campus's commitment to strengthening the internationalization of higher education, particularly in the development of Management and Accounting fields.
MoU as the Beginning of Real Collaboration
The General Chair of FAME Indonesia, Dr. Dani Amrul Ichdan, emphasized that international cooperation should not stop at the signing of documents.
“For us, an MoU is not simply a document. It should be the beginning of real collaboration.”
According to him, the cooperation that has been built needs to be realized through various concrete activities, ranging from student and staff mobility, joint research, joint publication, community service, seminars, to various other academic activities.
This spirit is an important part of STIEKIA's internationalization development. Cooperation with international partners is expected not only to be an institutional relationship but to develop into various academic programs and collaborations that provide real benefits for lecturers, students, researchers, and the community.
Expanding the Indonesia–Vietnam Academic Network
The presence of FAME Indonesia in Hanoi also served as a strategic space to strengthen academic relations between Indonesian and Vietnamese higher education institutions.
FAME Indonesia Executive Management, Prof. Yuliansyah, emphasized that FAME is a collaborative academic community that brings together universities, academics, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of Accounting, Management, and Economics.
“This is not the end of our collaboration—it is only the beginning.”
This statement reflects the spirit of making the international conference not the end of an activity, but the beginning of the birth of various forms of broader and sustainable academic collaboration.
For STIEKIA, involvement in these international activities is part of an effort to build a global network and open more collaboration opportunities for the academic community.
Consistently Encouraging STIEKIA Internationalization
The presence of the STIEKIA Chair at The 3rd International Sandbox Conference 2026 simultaneously strengthens the direction of STIEKIA's development as a higher education institution that is active in building international academic networks.
This commitment has previously been realized through various internationalization activities, one of which is the Cultural Camp held regularly every year. Through this program, STIEKIA has become a space for academic and cultural interaction for 30 foreign students from 13 countries.
STIEKIA also encourages the involvement of lecturers in community service activities abroad, including in Thailand and Vietnam.
The cooperation with VNU Hanoi is part of STIEKIA's sustainable steps to expand international academic connections and create more concrete collaboration opportunities.
Internationalization for STIEKIA is not just about attending global forums or signing cooperation documents, but about building relationships, opening collaboration opportunities, and providing real benefits for the development of lecturers, students, research, community service, and the institution.
